  • The ozonolysis of the alkene followed by reductive workup produces two carbonyl compounds (Y). They react with hydroxyl amine to form oxime.
Here Q = Total number of stereoismers of Y = 2
R = Total number of stereoisomers of Z = 4
Sum of Q and R =2+4=6=2+4=6
