The correct option is B n-propyl alcohol
When ethanol is treated with a mixture of phosphorus and iodine, ethyl iodide ${C H}_{3} {C H}_{2} I$ is obtained.

Compound $A$ on reaction with $M g$ metal in ether forms ethyl magnesium iodide $C H_{3} C H_{2} M g I$ .

The compound $B$ reacts with fomaldehyde to form compound $C$ $C H_{3} C H_{2} - C H_{2} - O M g X$ which on hydrolysis gives n propyl alcohol $C H_{3} C H_{2} C H_{2} - O H$ .
