The correct option is B 0.973 r
In given figure, CFHJD is a pentagon, hence angle subtended by JH is 3605=72
From figure(a) we can write,
JH=2MJ=2(rsin18)
JH=0.62r
Now, the resistance of each triangle is
1RT=12r+10.62r
1RT=2.62r(2r)(0.62r)
RT=(2r)(0.62r)2.r
RT=0.4732r
Now, the circuit can be converted into the equivalent one as shown in figure (b).
Current will not flow through branch CD hence, its resistance can be neglected.
The equivalent resistance between A and H is:
1R=1r+0.4732r+0.4732r+1r+0.4732r+0.4732r
1R=11.946r+11.946r
1R=21.946r
R=0.973r
