Solution

The correct option is D 5000 KJ
Solution:-

The correct answer is (c) 5000 kJ.

According to the ten percent law, only 10% of the energy is available to the organism in the succeeding trophic level.

  • If, 5 kJ energy is available at the 4th level (snake), the amount of energy at the previous level will be 10 times more, i.e., 50 kJ.

  • So, tracing back, we get that the grasshopper (2nd level) has 500 kJ of energy and at the producer level, i.e., grass, 5000 kJ of energy will be available.
