During the formation of a cyclone, the warm air goes up from the earth's surface creating a low pressure region below. The air present in the surrounding high pressure areas is pulled into the low pressure cavity. This air again gets heated and rises up thus adding to the swirl of the cyclone. As this swirl moves over the sea, water is also picked up. As the warmed moist air rises and cools off, the water in the air forms cloud.
