From circuit diagram,
the effective resistance of 1 Ω and 4 Ω is,
1R1=11+14R1=45

And, the effective resistance of 2 Ω and 3 Ω is,

1R2=12+13R2=65


Reff=R1+R2=45+65=2Ω

From current distribution diagram,
