In the given diagram, ABCD is a rectangle. ADEF,DCHG,BCLM and ABNO are four squares. If the perimeter of ABCD is 16 cm and total area of the four squares is 68cm2, then what is the area of ABCD?

The correct option is B 15 cm2
2(a+b)=16a+b=8cm1
Also let side of the square be xcm
4×x2=68x2=17x=17
Also, x=bb=17
a+17=8a=(817)
Now, area ABCD=a×b=(8×17)×17
=81717
=3217=15cm2
