The correct option is D 10.5 cm2
Diameter of semicircle =14 cm
Radius of semicircle, OB=142=7 cm
Area of quadrant BOD=14×πr2
=14×227×7×7
=38.5 cm2

Since, CD and CB are tangents at D and B and OD=DC.
CD=CB
Also, OD=OB (Radii)
And, OD=CD (Given)
OD=DC=CB=OB=7 cm
Thus, BODC is a square.

Area of square BODC=(Side)2=72=49 cm2

Area of shaded region = Area of square BODC Area of quadrant BOD
=4938.5
=10.5 cm2

Hence, the correct answer is option d.
