$\therefore$ $x+{85}^{\circ }={180}^{\circ }$
(Co-interior angles)

$\Rightarrow x={180}^{\circ }-{85}^{\circ }$

$\Rightarrow x={95}^{\circ }$

$y={85}^{\circ }$
