In the given figure, AB is perpendicular to BC at B. Find :-
(1) x
(2) complement of angle x.

(1) From the figure
AB is perpendicular to BC
Thus, ∠ABC = 90^o
x + 20 + 2x + 1 + 7x – 11 = 90^o
10x + 10 = 90^o
10x = 80^o
x = 8^o

(2) The complement of angle x = 90^o – x = 90^o – 8^o = 82^o
