In the given figure, AB is the diameter of larger semi-circle and OB is the diameter of the smaller semi-circle.

What is the perimeter of the shaded region?

Solution

For perimeter, you have to take the sum of the boundary lengths.
Here, first boundary is curved part of bigger circle $(A Y B) = π 35$
second is curved part of bigger circle = $π (\frac{35}{2})$
third is OA = 35 cm
So, perimeter = $π 35 c m + π (\frac{35}{2}) c m + 35 c m$
$= 35 (\frac{3 π}{2} + 1) c m$
