= 16 cm^2
Area of 4 qudrant = 4 * 1/4 * 22/7
= 22/7 cm^2
Area of circle = 22/7 * 1 * 1
= 22/7 cm^2
Area of shaded portion = 16 - {22/7 + 22/7}
= 16 - {44/7}
=112 - 44

= 9.71 cm ^2
