Since the triangle is Equilateral, BO = PC = 1 unit

$\therefore$ AO = $\sqrt{2^2-1^2}$ = $\sqrt{3}$ units

Area of Triangle AOB = $\frac{1}{2}\times \sqrt{3}\times 1$ = $\frac{\sqrt{3}}{2}$ sq. units
