In the given figure, common tangents AB and CD to the two circles intersect at E. Prove that AB = CD.

Tangents drawn to a circle from same external point are equal in lenght. So,
AE = CE ....(1)
and EB = ED ....(2)
Adding (1) and (2), we get
AB = CD.
