In the following figure, DE is parallel to BC.
$∴ The area of triangles on the same (or equal) base and between the same two parallels are equal.$

$A r e a (△ B D C)$ $-$ $A r e a (△ B O C)$ $=$ $A r e a (△ B E C)$ $-$ $A r e a (△ B O C)$
From the above figure, we can state that,

$∴ A r e a (△ B O D) = A r e a (△ C O E)$
