In the given figure, ΔABC and ΔAMP are right-angled at B and M respectively. [3 MARKS]
Given AC = 10 cm, AP = 15 cm and PM = 12 cm
i) Prove ΔABCΔAMP
ii) Find AB and BC

Part (i) : 1.5 Marks
Part (ii): 1.5 Marks

i) In triangles AMP and ABC, we have:
AMP=ABC=90 [Given]
MAP=CAB [Common]
\therefore \Delta AMP \sim \Delta ABC\) [By AA similarity]

ii) Now, triangle AMP triangle ABC
APAC=MPBC=AMAB
1510=12BCBC=8 cm
AB=10282=10064=36=6 cm
