Solution

Step 1:
“ If a ray stands on a line, the sum of two adjacent angles formed is always 180°”. This is known as the Linear pair axiom.

Step 2:
Simplify the Equation.
∠AOC + ∠COB = 180°
But, ∠COB = ∠COD + ∠DOB
= x + x + 20o
=2x + 20o
∠AOC + ∠COB =180o
x+10°+ 2x+20°= 180o
3x +30o=180o
3x =150o
x =150o3
x =50o
Hence, x =50o

Step 3:
substitute the value of
x to find the measure of angles.

∠𝐵𝑂C = (x+20o)
∠𝐵𝑂C = (50o+20o) = 70o
∠𝐶𝑂𝐷 = x = 50o
∠𝐴𝑂𝐷 = (x+10o)
∠𝐴𝑂𝐷 = (50o+10o) = 60o

Verification

70o+50o+60o=180o
