In the given figure, find the perimeter of the parallelogram.

Solution

Since the figure is a parallelogram, the opposite sides are equal.

AB = CD = 9 cm
BC = AD = 4 cm
Then, the perimeter of ABCD
= AB + BC + CD + DA
$\Rightarrow$ Perimeter = 9 + 4 + 9 + 4 = 26 cm

$∴$ The perimeter of the parallelogram is 26 cm.
