AOPA
(Angle between a tangent and the radius of a circle is 90°)



Apply Tangent Secant Theorem
PC×PD=PA27.2×PD=122 PD=20 cm

In ΔPAD, by Pythagoras theorem

PD2=PA2+AD2202=122+AD2AD2=400144=256AD=16 cm
