In PAM

APM=AMP ----- ( 1 ) [ Base angles of equal sides are also equal ]

PA=AM [ Given ]

By alternate segment property of tangent

ABM=AMP ----- ( 2 )

From ( 1 ) and ( 2 ),

APM=ABM

PM=MB

Hence, AMP is an isosceles triangle.

By rectangle property of tangent and chord

PM2=PA×PB

MB2=PA×PB [ Since, PM=MB ]
