In the given figure, PQR is a straight line and QRS is an isosceles triangle. Find the value of y.

In QRS,
QSR=QRS=55°(Angle opposite to the equal sides)
Now, in PRS
PSR=(55+y)°
Also,
PRS+PSR+RPS=180°(Sum of interior angles)
55°+(55+y)°+40°=180°
y=180°150°=30°
