AD + BC


We know tangents from an external point are equal.

AP = AS .... (i)
PB = BQ .... (ii)
CR = QC .... (iii)
RD = SD .... (iv)

Adding we get, (AB + PB) + (CR + RD) = (AS + SD) + (BQ + QC)

AB + CD = AD + BC
