From the figure, we can understand that two circles of radius 7 cm exist in the rectangle.
Their total area = 2πr2 = 2 × 227 x 49 = 308 cm2
From the figure, it is evident that the breadth of the rectangle is twice the radius of the circle. Same way length of the rectangle is 4 times radius of the circle, as two circles can be accommodated in the rectangle.
Hence, length = 4 x 7 = 28 cm and breadth = 2 x 7 = 14 cm.
Area of the rectangle = 28 x 14 = 392
Required area = 392 - 308 = 84 cm2
