Solution

Given Diameter of largest semi circle(2R)=14cm

Diameter of small semicircle (2r1)=3.5cm

Diameter of two other semi circle=2×3.5=7cm

Therefore, diameter of third small semi circle(2r2)=147=7cm

Area of shaded region=Area of largest semi circle2×area of small semi circle+area of semicircle of radius(r2)=7cm
Area of shaded region=πR22+πr2222×πr212

Area of shaded region=12×227×7×7+12×227×72×722×12×227×3.52×3.52

=77+19.259.625=86.625cm2
