The correct option is CAB=8cm,BC=6cm Given, D and E are mid-points of AB and AC and DE∥BC ∴ By mid point theorem, DE=12BC ⇒BC=2×DE ⇒BC=2×3 ∴BC=6cm
Since, E is the midpoint of AC, AC=2×AE AC=2×5 AC=10cm
By pythagoras theorem, AB2+BC2=AC2 ⇒AB2=AC2−BC2 ⇒AB2=102−62 ⇒AB2=100−36=64 ∴AB=8cm
