When the pendulum moves, the key aspect we must remember is the conservation of energy.
Kinetic energy + Potential energy = constant
12mv2+mgh= constant
Hence when the object is at its lowest height, it will have maximum kinetic energy/velocity, which occurs at mean position (0 amplitude) and at the point of maximum deflection velocity is zero .
