In the given figure, we have $X$ and $Y$ are the midpoints of $AC$ and $BC$ respectively and $AX=CY$. Show that $AC=BC$

Given,

$AX=CY$
$\because X$ is midpoint of AC
$\therefore AC=2AX$ (1)
also since Y is midpoint of BC
$\therefore BC=2CY$ (2)
$\because AX=CY$
using (1) & (2)
$AC=BC$
