In the given square grid, the side of each square is 1 unit. Which figure has the least perimeter?

The perimeter of the figure 1 = 5 + 1 + 5 + 1
= 12 units
The perimeter of the figure 2 = 1 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 4 + 2
= 12 units
The perimeter of the figure 3 = 3 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1
= 10 units
So we can say that the third figure has the least perimeter
