The correct options are
A x = 4
D x + y = 6
When two ratios are in proportion, they are equal
$\Rightarrow$ $\frac{x}{2} = \frac{2}{1}$ and $\frac{y}{3} = \frac{2}{3}$

$\frac{x}{2} = \frac{2}{1}$
$\Rightarrow$ $x = 4$

Also,
$\frac{y}{3} = \frac{2}{3}$
$\Rightarrow$ $3 y = 6$
$\Rightarrow$ $y = 2$

$∴$ $x + y = 4 + 2 = 6$
$x - y = 4 - 2 = 2$

Thus, (a) and (d) are the required answers.
