The correct option is A LE22R21
When the switch X is connected to the Y, the current flowing in the circuit is,

i=ER1


Energy stored in the inductor is,

Ei=12Li2

=12L×(ER1)2=LE22R21

When the switch X is connected to Z the current and the energy stored in the inductor will decay through resistance R2.

Therefore, the total energy stored in the inductor will be converted into the heat energy produced in R2.

Hence, (A) is the correct answer.
Note:
The total heat produced in the circuit is independent of the resistance R2.
