Question Hour, Zero Hour, and No-Confidence Motion
Solution:
Question Hour:
It is the first hour of a sitting session of Parliament.
During this hour, the members can ask questions about any administrative subject. The council of ministers in charge of the concerned department must provide answers for them.
Zero Hour:
At 12 pm, after the completion of Question Hour, a small interval of 5-15 minutes is provided before starting deliberations on further items on the agenda. This time is known as Zero Hour.
The House brings to attention issues of urgent public importance before the Prime Minister and Council of ministers during this time.
It is known as Zero Hour as it starts at 12 o’clock in afternoon.
No-Confidence Motion:
This motion is passed when members of the Lok Sabha feel that they no longer have confidence in the elected government. Through this process, they possess the power to impeach the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
Using these three means, the Parliament holds the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers accountable for their actions.
