Solution
Plant cells have the ability to differentiate, dedifferentiate and redifferentiate. In the plant body, cell division occurs in primary meristems which are located at the apices and produce new cells which will mature by differentiation. Whenever required these mature cells dedifferentiate and attain cell division capacity and produce new cells. These new cells undergo redifferentiation and form secondary tissues.
