Plasmodium vivax is a protozoan parasite and a human pathogen which causes malaria. Sporozoite enters the human bloodstream and enters the liver cells (hepatocytes) where it undergoes exo-erythrocytic schizogony and produces merozoites. Then, merozoites are released into the bloodstream where they enter RBC (erythrocytes) and undergo erythrocytic schizogony.
