Solution

The correct option is A

3, -2

In ax2+bx+c=0, find 2 numbers p,q such that p+q = b and pq=(a × c)

Solution: 3x2- 2 +2= 0

We need to split the middle term, So

We can write as 3x2- 6x- 6x+2=0

Take the common terms out

3x( 3x- 2)- 2(3x- 2 )=0

⇒( 3x- 2) ( 3x- 2 )=0

So the roots can be found out by equating the factors to zero.

Therefore the roots will be x=(23) , (23)

Comparing, we find that a=3 , d=-2
