According to the Hardy–Weinberg principle, if the allele frequencies in a population with two alleles at a locus are p and q, then the expected genotype frequencies are p2, 2pq and q2 .
At Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium, (p+q)2= p2 + 2pq + q2 = 1

= 2×0.6×0.4
