The correct option is A 2R
As the ring has no resistance, the three resistances 3R are in parallel.
The equivalent resistance for parallel combination is RP=(1/3R+1/3R+1/3R)1=R
Now RP and R are in series in between A and B so equivalent resistance is
RAB=RP+R=R+R=2R
