True
In the primary recovery process, oil is removed out of oil well due to the natural pressure which builds up inside the reservoir. The pressure from millions of tons of rock lying on the oil and heat from the Earth’s natural sources expand any gases that may be trapped between the rocks. When the steel pipe casing present in the bore first hits the reservoir, some of the oil may come out of the surface immediately due to the decrease in pressure of the reservoir, much like the air escaping from a balloon. This pressure forces the oil from the rock towards the surface of the well. This crude oil is carried through large pipes, towards the Earth’s surface.
