In the process of light entering our eye and forming an image at retina, at which interface the maximum refraction takes place?
At air - cornea interface
Maximum refraction takes place when light enters from air to cornea (mostly aqueous) because, change in refractive index of medium is maximum for this pair. Apart from this no other pair of mediums have such a large differernce in refrative index. Therefore, bending won't happen to that extent at any other interface.
