The correct option is A transferred from anode to cathode
Answer is A.
In copper purification process the pure copper plate is the cathode. Therefore, the negative terminal of the battery should be connected to the pure copper plate and the anode is the impure plate of copper, from which the copper has to be coated on the pure copper plate. Here, the solution can be a salt solution called copper sulphate solution which is metallic salt solution.
During the electroplating process or the purification process rather, the copper from the impure plate is transferred to the pure copper plate , through the electrolytic copper sulphate solution.
Hence, In the refining of copper, the refined copper is transferred from anode to cathode.
