The correct option is ASO2−4 In the copper purification process, the pure copper plate is to be coated with copper from the impure copper plate, so the pure copper plate is the cathode.
Therefore, the negative terminal of the battery should be connected to the pure copper plate, that is, A and the anode is the impure plate of copper, that is, B, from which the copper has to be coated on the pure copper plate. Here, the solution can be a salt solution called copper sulphate solution which is a metallic salt solution.
