The correct option is B 1 mol of MgO will be produced
We know, molar mass of Mg = 24 g
24 g Mg = 2424 mol of Mg=1 mol
Again molar mass of of O2 = 32 g
32 g O2 = 3232 mol of O2=1 mol
Given:
2Mg+O22MgO
2 moles of Mg react with 1 mole of O2
So, 1 mole of Mg will react with 0.5 moles of O2
Hence, Mg is the limiting reagent here.

From the reaction, 2 moles Mg gives 2 moles of MgO
So, 1 mole of Mg will give 1 mole of MgO
