Let the total turnout be $x$
$15 %$ of $x$ were $30$ and female
$= \frac{15}{100} \times x$
given that $50 %$ of voters under $30$ were not female
$⟹ 50 %$ of voters under $30$ were female
Let $y$ be voters under $30$
$50 %$ of $y = 15 %$ of $x$
$\frac{50}{100} \times y = \frac{50}{100} \times x$
$y = \frac{30}{100} \times x = 30 %$ of $x$
$∴ 30 %$ of total voters were under $30$
