In the wall of the alimentary canal, which is the true sequence from the outermost to the innermost layers?
The wall of alimentary canal is made of four basic layers. First layer is the serosa which is a thin membranous covering around oesophagus. Then there is a muscle layer-outer layer of longitudinal muscles and inner layer of circular muscles. Last there is submucosa which contains a few esophageal glands. Then comes mucosa with several layers of flattened cells.
