In total, a Beetle's basket comprises 50 flowers, including roses, lilies, and sunflowers. How many sunflowers are in the basket if there are 20 roses and 15 lilies?

Total number of flowers in the basket =50
Number of roses in the basket = 20
Number of lilies in the basket = 15

Need to Find:––––––––––––––– Number of sunflowers in the basket

Let the number of sunflowers in the basket =s.

Now, according to the question:
No. of roses + No. of lilies + No. of sunflowers = Total number of flowers in the basket
20+15+s=50
35+s=50
On subtracting 35 from both sides of the equation, we get:
35+s35=5035
s=15

Beetle's basket contains 15 sunflowers.
