Area of trapezium =12× (sum of parallel sides) × (distance between parallel sides)
⇒ Area of trapezium ABCD=12×(AB+CD)×CE=50
⇒12×(16+x)×4=50
⇒(16+x)×2=50
⇒16+x=502=25
⇒x=25−16=9 cm
Hence, CD=9 cm
