The correct option is B

9 cm


Let CD be x.

Area of trapezium =12× (sum of parallel sides) × (distance between parallel sides)

Area of trapezium ABCD=12×(AB+CD)×CE=50

12×(16+x)×4=50

(16+x)×2=50

16+x=502=25

x=2516=9 cm

Hence, CD=9 cm
