The correct option is A 1200 cm2 From figure, ABCD is a rectangle and DCE is a right angled triangle Area of rectangle = l x b =20 x 40 =800 cm2...(i) Area of Δ DCE = 12×base×height = 12×40×20 =400 cm2...(ii) ∴Area of trapezium ABED = Area of rectangle ABCD + Area of ΔDCE =400 + 800 =1200 cm2
