Question

In triangle ABC, right angle at B if s-=s-b=s-c=2 then a,c are

Open in App
Solution

s-b=s-c=2
This shows both b=c=s-2
but b is opposite to angle B. Hence b is hypotenuse.
For a right triangle at B b cannot be equal to c
We can find a As S=(a+b+c)/2 , so 2S=a+s-2+s-2=a+2s-4
so a-4=0
and a=4
