Question

In triangle PQR, Q=90,
find: i PR,if PQ=8 cm and QR=6 cm

Open in App
Solution

Step: Applying Pythagoras theorem to find length of hypotenuse

Since PQR is right angled triangle with vertex Q.
Given, PQ=8 cm;QR=6 cm
According to Pythagoras theorem,
Hypotenuse2=Perpendicular2+base2
(PR)2=(PQ)2+(QE)2
(PR)2=(8)2+(6)2
(PR)2=64+36
PR=100
PR=10 cm
Hence, PR=10 cm
