Solution

The correct option is C

1:1

Let us x quintal of sugar, costing Rs. 140 per quintal and y quintal of sugar, costing Rs. 260 per quintal
Weight of mixture =(x+y) quintal
Total worth of mixture = Rs.(140×x+260×y)
= Rs. (140x+260y)
According to question, worth of 1 quintal of mixture= Rs. 200
Worth of (x+y) quintal of sugars =200(x+y)
Hence, 200(x+y) =140x+260y
60x= 60y
xy=6060=1 : 1
