Question

In what respect is the criteria used by the UNDP for measuring development different from the one used by the world bank

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

The World bank measures development solely by looking at the per capita income of a country. The UNDP measures developement by looking at three factors; per capita income, literacy rate and life expectancy. Hence, UNDP's measure is more broad based than the World Bank's measure.
